Despite $13 Million Spent, Krishnamoorthi Remains Stagnant in Polling
WASHINGTON – A new polling memo from Public Policy Polling shows a two-way race has solidified in the Illinois Democratic Senate primary, with Lt. Governor Juliana Stratton’s message continuing to resonate with voters.
In a 3-way matchup between candidates, 39% percent of voters say they are undecided, down slightly from 41% in September.
Despite $13 million spent on advertising since the start of his campaign, and $5 million since September alone, Krishnamoorthi lost one point in the initial vote, down from 33 to 32. Despite zero spending from her campaign, Stratton increased two points, up from 18 to 20.
Stratton’s name identification increased by five points since September’s poll. The polling continues to indicate that when voters learn more about her message and bio, Juliana Stratton further climbs into the lead with 38% percent to Krishnamoorthi’s 22%.
“Juliana Stratton’s powerful vision for Illinois is moving primary voters in her direction,” said DLGA Executive Director Kevin Holst. “Lt. Governor Stratton has always fought to uplift working and middle-class families, and as she works tirelessly to reach voters across the state, her campaign continues to build the momentum that will carry her to victory.”
