RELEASE: Hal Weatherman Has History of Using Racial Slurs, Equates Pro-Choice Movement to Holocaust and Slavery

ICYMI, it was revealed today that North Carolina Republican Lieutenant Governor nominee Hal Weatherman has a history of using racial slurs in his past. In the Wake Forest University newspaper, Old Gold and Black, Weatherman used the N-word when condemning a woman’s right to an abortion. In the same column, Weatherman equates the pro-choice movement to the Holocaust and slavery, saying that pro-abortion rhetoric is similar to what Hilter said or how slaves were treated.

The original column can be seen HERE on page 7.

“Hal Weatherman is an out-of-touch extremist who, just like his running mate Mark Robinson, has a history of hateful rhetoric and dangerous policies,” said DLGA Executive Director Kevin Holst. “These comments are disqualifying, and give North Carolina voters yet another reason to reject him this November.”
