NEW PPP Poll Shows Stratton Maintains Lead in Polls, Leading Krishnamoorthi by 2 Points Despite $8 Million Spent by MAGA-Aligned Crypto Industry to Boost Him

Despite Spending More Than $25 Million on TV Statewide & $8 Million MAGA Crypto Boost, Krishnamoorthi Remains Behind

WASHINGTON, DC – A new poll from Public Policy Polling shows that with just one week until Election Day, Lt. Governor Juliana Stratton is leading Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi by two points in the Illinois U.S. Senate Race, maintaining her lead from a poll conducted one week ago.

Stratton leads with the support of 32% voters, Krishnamoorthi is at 30%, and Robin Kelly remains in a distant third place with just 13% support.

Stratton maintains her lead over Krishnamoorthi despite his campaign pouring more than $29 million into paid TV advertising, running attack ads on Stratton, and accepting an $8 million boost from Trump-aligned crypto industry Super PACs in the final three weeks of the campaign. As support for Krishnamoorthi has stalled over the last two months, these Super PACs have both falsely attacked Stratton and cynically sought to uplift Robin Kelly in an attempt to siphon support away from Juliana.

Despite being massively out-communicated for eight months, Juliana’s momentum, standout debate performances, and growing coalition of support have erased Krishnamoorthi’s lead. As voters continue to hear her message, they join her.

The poll also finds Stratton’s favorability continues to improve, even as Krishnamoorthi and his MAGA allies continue to unleash an onslaught of false attack ads against her. Her favorability rating stands at 46-16, up from 40-16 just last week.

“With just one week to Election Day, Juliana remains in the strongest position to win this race,” said DLGA Executive Director Kevin Holst. “No matter how many lies and how many millions of dollars Congressman Krishnamoorthi and his MAGA allies try to throw into this campaign, they can’t drown out real grassroots excitement. Juliana is the fighter Illinoisans are looking for right now, and she’s running on a progressive platform that meets the moment – that’s why she continues to hold the lead.”
