Kounalakis advances to General Election
WASHINGTON — The Democratic Lieutenant Governors Association released the following statement regarding Primary Night in California.
“The DLGA congratulates Lt. Governor Eleni Kounalakis on capturing over 50% in last night’s open primary and moving on to the General Election. She has led on education, represented the state on international trade issues, and has helped lead the state to a cleaner energy future. These reasons and many more are why the voters of California trust her leadership,” said DLGA Chair Lt. Governor Bethany Hall-Long of Delaware.
DLGA Executive Director Roshan Patel added, “Lt. Governor Kounalakis is such a dynamic leader. She rolls her sleeves up and delivers for the people of California every day. Clearly the voters of California agree.”
The DLGA is an independent voluntary political organization that provides resources and policy assistance to candidates in their campaigns for Lieutenant Governor. The DLGA is proud to support current Democratic Lieutenant Governors in 21 states and 3 U.S. territories.
