Oliver is vying for four more years
WASHINGTON — The Democratic Lieutenant Governors Association released the following statement regarding Lt. Governor Sheila Oliver’s Primary victory in New Jersey.
“Lt. Governor Oliver serves as a great advocate for the people of New Jersey and her leadership as both the state’s Second-in-Command and Commissioner of the Department of Community Affairs has played a pivotal role in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic and as the state rebounds economically,” said DLGA Chair Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist II of Michigan. The Murphy / Oliver ticket is focused on the needs of New Jersey and we look forward to continuing our support on through November.”
DLGA Executive Director Roshan Patel added, “Lt. Governor Oliver has been a proven leader for the Garden State over the last four years and tonight’s overwhelming support by Democrats across New Jersey is no surprise. This is a first step toward securing four more years of progressive and pragmatic leadership.”
