DLGA statement on election night in New Jersey

Sheila Oliver wins four more years

WASHINGTON — The Democratic Lieutenant Governors Association released the following statement regarding Election Night in New Jersey.

“The DLGA congratulates Lt. Governor Sheila Oliver on her successful re-election alongside Governor Phil Murphy. Lt. Governor Oliver has earned the trust of New Jerseyans time and time again because of the results she delivers, her integrity, and her commitment to service. We look forward to supporting her leadership for another four years,” said DLGA Chair Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist II of Michigan.

DLGA Executive Director Roshan Patel added, “Lt. Governor Oliver has been a remarkable Second-In- Command to Governor Phil Murphy, and tonight she was rewarded for her hard work and dedication to the state. We look forward to four more years of responsible leadership out of the Murphy / Oliver Administration.

The DLGA is an independent voluntary political organization that provides resources and policy assistance to candidates in their campaigns for Lieutenant Governor. The DLGA is proud to support current Democratic Lieutenant Governors in 22 states and 3 U.S. territories.
