WASHINGTON, DC – The Democratic Lt. Governors Association today announced the start of a television ad campaign supporting Tahesha Way’s campaign for Congress in NJ-11 with an initial investment of $590,000 for the period of January 17-26, with further spending announcements forthcoming. This television buy builds on the nearly $100,000 the DLGA has already invested in direct mail supporting Way’s campaign. The ad, “Proven Way,” will run on broadcast and cable television throughout the district.
“Tahesha Way has proven she has what it takes to stand up to Donald Trump and win,” said Kevin Holst, Executive Director of the DLGA. “Lt. Governor Way has led New Jersey’s response to Trump’s attacks on our democracy – and won again and again. Now, as Trump pushes his cost-raising agenda and unleashes violent ICE raids and lawless attacks on our communities, we need leaders in Congress who have shown they won’t back down. Tahesha Way is that leader, and the DLGA is proud to support her campaign.”
The 30-second spot highlights Lt. Gov. Way’s unmatched record of taking on Trump in court and winning, including blocking his attempt to seize New Jersey voter data and defeating his efforts to restrict voting access. “Proven Way” underscores that Lt. Gov. Way is the proven fighter New Jersey’s Eleventh District needs to stop Trump’s ICE raids in schools and churches and push back against the chaos coming out of Washington.
As Lt. Governor and Secretary of State, Tahesha Way has been on the front lines of defending New Jersey from Trump Administration overreach.
