WASHINGTON — The Democratic Lieutenant Governors Association released the following statement regarding President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better framework.
“President Biden’s announcement of this comprehensive economic plan represents his commitment to creating opportunities for American families to succeed. This framework shows that Democrats are committed to creating jobs; expanding access to affordable housing, childcare, healthcare, and high- speed internet; and combatting climate change. Despite across-the-board opposition from Republicans, Democrats can and will deliver on these priorities, and will build our economy and nation back better and stronger than ever,” said DLGA Chair and Michigan Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist II.
DLGA Executive Director Roshan Patel added, “The Build Back Better Framework will create jobs, address climate change, increase access to care, and build an economy for everyone. Just another example of Democrats getting it done.”
