Lisa Cano Burkhead to serve as Nevada’s next Lieutenant Governor
WASHINGTON — The Democratic Lieutenant Governors Association released the following statement regarding the appointment of Lisa Cano Burkhead as Nevada’s next Lieutenant Governor.
“Lisa is a remarkable choice to serve as Nevada’s next Lt. Governor. Her background in education will no doubt ensure she is a quick study as someone that will preside over the Senate and be a partner to Governor Steve Sisolak,” said DLGA Chair and Delaware Lt. Governor Bethany Hall-Long.
DLGA Executive Director Roshan Patel added, “We are excited to welcome Lisa to the DLGA family as Nevada’s next Lt. Governor. Lisa has spent her whole career getting our students prepared for a bright future and I have no doubt she will do the same for all Nevadans.”
The DLGA is an independent voluntary political organization that provides resources and policy assistance to candidates in their campaigns for Lieutenant Governor. The DLGA is proud to support current Democratic Lieutenant Governors in 22 states and 3 U.S. territories.
