Lt. Governor Kate Marshall will join Office of Intergovernmental Affairs
WASHINGTON — The Democratic Lieutenant Governors Association released the following statement regarding the appointment of Nevada Lt. Governor Kate Marshall to the White House’s Office of Intergovernmental Affairs.
“Lt. Governor Kate Marshall’s distinguished record of public service and accomplishments make her a tremendous asset to the Biden-Harris Administration and the Nation. I am confident that her knowledge and experience will maximize the input and impact of Governors, ensuring that the Administration’s policies and priorities will be well understood and executed at the state level,” said DLGA Chair and Michigan Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist II.
“Hers is yet another example of the essential role that Lieutenant Governors play in the present and future of politics and governance on behalf of the people we serve.”
DLGA Executive Director Roshan Patel added, “Her time as Lt. Governor during the COVID-19 Pandemic and State Treasurer during the Great Recession has prepared her to understand the federal / state relationship better than anyone in the country. Lt. Governor Marshall will be an incredible resource to the Biden-Harris Administration and to Governors and Lt. Governors all around this great country.”
