WASHINGTON — The Democratic Lieutenant Governors Association and Planned Parenthood Action Fund will be hosting a virtual panel discussion on Monday, August 17th at 2:00 PM ET during the Democratic National Convention.
The theme of the panel will be “Women in Leadership in the States: A Conversation.” Lt. Governors Kathy Hochul (NY), Juliana Stratton (IL), and Kate Marshall (NV) will be participating along with Jacqueline Ayers from Planned Parenthood Action Fund.
“There are more women in office than ever before, and whether it’s battling the COVID-19 pandemic, fighting to increase the minimum wage, expanding healthcare and childcare, and creating jobs, statewide elected women are best positioned to address the challenges of the day and make a real difference for working families,” said New York Lieutenant Governor and DLGA Chair Kathy Hochul. “Kamala Harris’ nomination as a vice presidential candidate is a monumental step for women’s equality and a testament to the progress we’ve made as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of women winning the right to vote this year. We must continue that legacy by electing Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to the White House, and electing Democratic women up and down the ticket.”
