Governor Susan Bysiewicz has been a leading voice for Connecticut for three decades from helping thousands of small businesses get off the ground, registering thousands of voters, and modernizing the state’s elections as Secretary of the State to taking on lobbyists and fighting for patients as a state representative. Since 2019, the Lamont-Bysiewicz administration has delivered the largest tax cuts in Connecticut history, raised the minimum wage indexed it to inflation, and built a paid leave program that has now served more than 165,000 workers. They capped the cost of insulin, expanded child care, and helped Connecticut families buy their first homes.
“That is what a real governing partnership looks like, and it is exactly what Connecticut needs as Donald Trump works to rip away health care, drive up costs, and attack the freedoms families count on. When Roe fell, Susan founded the Reproductive Freedom Coalition, uniting lieutenant governors across 22 states to build a firewall around reproductive freedom. Her focus has never wavered from good-paying jobs, strong public schools, and job training that yields real opportunity. Congratulations to Lt.
