DLGA Statement on Nevada Lieutenant Governor Primary

WASHINGTON – Democratic Lieutenant Governors Association (DLGA) Chair and Delaware Lieutenant Governor Kyle Evans Gay released the following statement congratulations Sandra Jauregui on her victory in tonight’s Democratic primary for Nevada Lieutenant Governor:

“Congratulations to Assembly Majority Leader Sandra Jauregui on her victory in Nevada’s Democratic primary tonight. The daughter of immigrants who built a life in Nevada through hard work, Sandra has carried those values into every fight of her career – cutting red tape to build housing Nevadans can afford, creating tens of thousands of good-paying jobs, capping the cost of insulin, and delivering the largest investment in public education in state history. A survivor of the Route 91 Harvest Festival mass shooting in Las Vegas, she led the fight to keep Nevadans safe by banning bump stocks, enacting red flag laws, and strengthening tools for law enforcement to prevent gun violence and address domestic terrorism.

“This November, Nevadans will face a clear choice between Sandra, who has spent her career fighting for working families, and Stavros Anthony, who has spent his time in office serving himself and his MAGA allies. With Sandra Jauregui as their nominee, Nevada Democrats have a clear path to victory in November, and the DLGA looks forward to standing with her every step of the way.”
