WASHINGTON, DC – Delaware Lt. Governor Kyle Evans Gay, Chair of the Democratic Lt. Governors Association (DLGA), released the following statement tonight on former Lt. Governor Molly Gray being nominated as Vermont’s Democratic nominee for Lt. Governor:
“Molly Gray grew up on a farm in South Newbury that her family still runs, and she learned there that you take care of the land and the people who take care of you. As a Vermont Assistant Attorney General, she investigated child abuse in the Catholic Church and stood with survivors. As Lt. Governor, she opened the office up and turned listening into results, championing Vermont’s landmark child care law along with paid family and medical leave, rural broadband, and stronger protections for workers. When her term ended, she did not go looking for a title: she built the Vermont Afghan Alliance to help Afghan allies who served alongside American troops find housing, work, and legal help in communities across the state.
