DLGA Increases Investment to $1.65M in Support of Lt. Governor Tahesha Way in NJ-11 Special Election

DLGA Invests Additional $225k, Bringing Total Investment to $1.65 Million

Robust Investment in NJ-11 is the First Step in the DLGA’s Commitment to Support Incumbent Democratic Lt. Governors Seeking Higher Office Across the Country in 2026

WASHINGTON, DC – The Democratic Lt. Governors Association (DLGA) today announced an additional $225,000 investment in support of Lt. Governor Tahesha Way’s campaign for Congress, bringing the DLGA’s total current investment to $1.65 million in the race. The new funding will expand the DLGA’s television buy, deliver three additional mail pieces to voters’ mailboxes, and launch a new voter contact program.

So far in this race, the DLGA has invested $1.4 million in television ads and direct mail. This latest investment builds on that momentum to further highlight Lt. Governor Way’s proven record of delivering results.

“Over and over, Tahesha Way has shown she can take on Donald Trump and beat him,” said Kevin Holst, Executive Director of the DLGA. “As Trump advances an agenda that raises costs and unleashes violent, lawless ICE actions, we need fighters like Tahesha Way in Congress who won’t flinch. Our major investment in NJ-11 is the first step in the DLGA’s commitment to supporting Democratic Lt. Governors seeking higher office in 2026 — and Tahesha Way is exactly the kind of leader we’re proud to back.”

As Lt. Governor and Secretary of State, Tahesha Way has been on the front lines of defending New Jersey from Trump Administration overreach. She successfully challenged Trump’s attempts to undermine voting rights in court, led the implementation of landmark democracy reforms including early voting and automatic voter registration, and has consistently fought back against federal attacks on New Jersey families and communities – all while lowering costs for families, expanding access to healthcare and bringing in record federal funding to support New Jersey businesses.
